We measure aggregate visits so we can understand which public material is useful, but we do not need to identify visitors to do that. The analytics configuration is deliberately narrower than PostHog's defaults.
Concretely, this site does not use:
- analytics cookies or browser-storage identifiers;
- advertising or conversion pixels, including Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads and X;
- session recording, heatmapping or scroll tracking;
- device fingerprinting;
- cross-site or cross-device tracking, retargeting or audience building;
- social media embeds or share widgets that call third-party servers;
- consent-or-pay walls, or any wall at all.

This table is a compliance record, not a marketing claim. We re-verify it against the deployed site after every release, and correct it the same day if anything changes.
3. The rules we are applying
Switzerland. Article 45c(b) of the Telecommunications Act permits processing data on your device where you are informed of the processing and its purpose and told that you may refuse it. On its face that is an information-and-refusal regime rather than a prior-consent regime. But the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner's guidance on cookies and similar technologies — version 1.0 of 22 January 2025, updated to version 1.1 on 6 October 2025 — reads the FADP as requiring express opt-in for third-party, marketing, cross-site and profiling technologies, requires non-essential technologies to be blocked until consent, requires refusal to be as easy as acceptance, and prohibits dark patterns. Swiss practice has converged substantially on the EU position, and we apply the stricter reading.
European Union and EEA. Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC permits storing or accessing information on your device only with your prior informed consent, except where strictly necessary to transmit a communication or to provide a service you explicitly requested. Consent must meet the GDPR standard, and the European Data Protection Board's Cookie Banner Taskforce report of 17 January 2023 confirms that legitimate interest cannot substitute for it, that pre-ticked boxes are invalid, and that a first-layer banner without an equally prominent refusal option is an infringement.
Because the analytics stores or accesses no information on your device, we do not present a cookie banner. For the limited server-side processing involved, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the public website, balanced against the safeguards above. We also respect supported browser Do Not Track signals.
4. Analytics safeguards
PostHog is configured in always-cookieless mode and hosted in Germany. It records page views and page-leave timing only. Person profiles, click and form autocapture, session recording, heatmaps, surveys, feature flags, error capture and web-vitals capture are disabled. URL query strings and fragments are removed before transmission, and the PostHog project discards client IP data.
If we later want identifiers, session replay, advertising measurement or any storage on your device, we will update this notice first and introduce a genuine consent mechanism where the law requires one. We will not adopt Google Analytics or any advertising-network tag on this site.
5. How to check this yourself
You do not need to take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, reload this page, and inspect the Network and Application panels. You should see requests only to this site and PostHog's EU asset and ingestion hosts, and no analytics entry in Cookies, Local Storage or Session Storage.
